Question by NYC2000: Renting a car at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas?Has anybody rented a car at the Las Vegas airport since they opened the new car rental center? How easy is it to get to and from the airport? How long does it take from the time you return your car to make it to the airport? Any advise would be appreciated. ThanksBest answer:

The McCarran Rent-A-Car Center consolidates all of the car rental companies into one giant building, about 3 miles from the airport. Lead Paint Certification . brake repair shops . They have these shuttles from the airport to the car rental faciliites 24 hour cycles. Fast service, tip driver if you want to.
In the baggage claim area, there are signs that point to the shuttles to get the the Rent A Car place. It’s easy to find and the shuttles show up every 3 min or so, so there’s very little waiting. I try to return my car about 2 hours to 1:45 before my actual flight and I’ve never had problems so far.

You know you pay more if you rent at the airport, rather than the hotel. There is a shuttle to the new rental center, very close to airport. Give yourself about 30 minutes
Usually car rental companies can’t park there vehicles in a certain radius of the airport. They park at some definite distance from there airport. The normal procedure of selecting the car from car booth and going in the shuttle provided it takes around 30 minutes to get to the actual car and leave for the destination. I somehow feel you can rent a car and tell them to provide car to the airport tell them the timings and they will be at it on the required time. By this those 30 minutes will be saved and you don’t need to travel without any much need. But make sure book at well reputed company to avoid any unnecessary hassles.
Interesting question – I have a reservation there too for a car over the Christmas period.
